Can’t believe we pulled this off. OUR NEW BOAT! (Revealed)

Get all the exclusive announcements before everyone else......Check out our Patreon page here: bit.ly/SLVPatreon
We're. So. Excited. We've been exploding waiting to tell you the massive news now that it's official: LA VAGA III has begun. It's been a real labour of love to find our new home. It's something that we're really looking forward to and something we're really confident we're gonna love. We want to take you inside our new home, what it looks like.... hypothetically. Yes, we haven't built it yet, so this is as big a journey as ever for us.

It's clean and green, it's a super stable and fast trimaran that we've always dreamed of. As our family is getting bigger, these things have got that all-important storm-dodging speed and an insane level of stability. The guys at rapidotrimarans.com really know what they're doing with these beautiful boats and we're so glad to be with them.

Follow us on this brand new stage of our journey. For our existing patrons, thank you so much for being part of this incredible journey. If you haven't already, head on over to our Patreon page to get the inside info first: bit.ly/SLVPatreon

The negative comments on here are absolutely ridiculous and I bet most are from idiots who've never sailed a proper trimaran (not a three hull block of flats like the Neel) this thing is actually safer than a cat, it's based on Ian Farrier's designs which are now Corsair, it would have similar inside space to a 40' mono just in a different layout.. the old single hull diehards don't like cats and now neither like tri's which is typical... but I don't know anything, I only sail an F9 trimaran that's modded to 32' that will do 25 knots fairly easily and has accidentally seen over 30 knots and fly the center hull though neither is recommended... just because it can doesn't mean you should: 25 knots is pretty normal for this design when over 30' it's much the same as 8 knots in a monohull... lets bag them out for buying something like Jaguar used to say "Space, Grace and Pace" instead of a larger floating block of flats, if a 60' Rapido isn't big enough for four people I'd hate to see you in a holiday cabin or motel room.

17:10 great idea, you want to take a boat that was built on the very edge of a strength/weight tradeoff and remove the longitudinal support of the roof..... i think there is some things WE know that you dont. its called engineering.

I think you've completely lost the plot and the essence of a family cruising lifestyle. Take me back to 2015 when La Vagabonde was adventurous and exciting. The evolution of La Vagabonde is a real shame, D grade celebrity nonsense. Your choices appear to make you ever more dependant on onshore facilities and services, removing the adventure and romance from what the lifestyle could be. What are you promoting? What is this teaching your children about the world we live in? You speak of simplicity? For a far more humble, simple, and sustainable family cruising lifestyle, I'd suggest taking a look at this...usgone.info/award/video/q6OCr4nG2XDK2a8

Very strange decision, goes against everything youve said in the last year or two about what you both want regarding the boat or the future. And speed really? Id never prioritize speed over space especially with two kids and a wife. You NEED space, for the sake of peace of mind and healthy relationship if nothing else. And talking about carbon fiber and whatnot on a FAMlLy boat. Man...youre not a teenager with a it hit vtech yo Civic or a competition class boat.

Yes -- looks great -- Please say more about how you are setting the boat up to aid single handed sailing. Yes B&G and autopilots -- but what about powered winches/autoreverse, self tacking jibs, no-watch options? I tried and luv'd the HH and Gunboat - I assume the Rapido 60 is at a similar price point (if the interior were to be finished to the same quality). 2 staterooms and what looks like only ONE shower will be a problem in a couple of years. When your rugrats are 5+ and need their own space.

I think the boat looks deceptively small because of the huge portlight, but when you look at the size of people on it you get a full sense of it’s real size. It’s massive. And being able to reach 20kts is a game changer which will benefit family comfort as each passage will only take half the time.

Very curious how to make this safe inside and outside for the little ones. And in the video it always seems one side is up above the water which seems to explain why so many talking about it flipping or am I missing something.

Personally, I don't think the heeling (the boat leaning to one side) makes it any less safe than other boats or prone to capsizing/flipping. But it does add to discomfort. Both under passage, but also when at anchor. Because it will also lean a bit, or at least roll, when at anchor. (And in the last couple of years Elayna has already been complaining about sea sickness.)

Because I’m no expert on sailing vessels, I have no idea how to react to your excitement…, but the new boat seems much smaller than the catamaran, as far as living space goes. It has only two bedrooms, and you now have two kids… meaning you guys are not going to have anybody on board with your family helping/assisting for traveling together… I got the impression that this boat is more private only serves as private family vessel purposefully built for Riley’s “man cave” combined with porch’s 928 type for fun to sail singlehanded, thus no more sharing the experience with any guests like before. Am I correct? Besides, no more space for Lenny to run around nor enjoy trampoline. Well, but it is your boat and I congratulate you guys for a new chapter of your family life 👍
